Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using CrawlZen.

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CrawlZen ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CrawlZen is a website SEO auditing platform that provides:

  • Automated website crawling and SEO analysis
  • SEO issue detection and reporting
  • AI-powered SEO suggestions
  • Automated fix application via the child plugin
  • Export and reporting capabilities

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breach. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to:

  • Using the Service for illegal purposes
  • Attempting to access others' accounts or data
  • Circumventing usage limits or quotas
  • Abusing the platform or its infrastructure

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Crawl websites you do not own or have explicit permission to audit
  • Use the Service to perform denial-of-service attacks or overload target servers
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, page quotas, or other restrictions
  • Use the Service to collect personal data from third-party websites
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use automated tools to access the Service beyond the provided API
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

5. Website Crawling

5.1 Authorization

By submitting a URL for auditing, you represent and warrant that you have the right to crawl and analyze that website. CrawlZen respects robots.txt directives and standard web crawling etiquette.

5.2 Crawling Behavior

Our crawler:

  • Identifies itself via a standard User-Agent string
  • Respects robots.txt rules and Crawl-delay directives
  • Applies rate limiting to avoid overloading target servers
  • Only accesses publicly available pages

5.3 Limitations

We are not responsible for any impact crawling may have on your website's performance. It is your responsibility to ensure your server can handle the crawl traffic within your selected plan limits.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

6.1 Plans

The Service offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected during signup. Features and limits vary by plan — see our Pricing page for details.

6.2 Payment

Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges. All fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.

6.3 Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new paid subscriptions. After 14 days, fees are non-refundable. Downgrading mid-cycle takes effect at the next billing period.

6.4 Quota Overages

If you exceed your plan's limits (pages, sites, AI tokens), additional usage will be paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan. We will notify you before reaching your limits.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

The Service, including its code, design, logos, documentation, and branding, is owned by CrawlZen and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service.

7.2 Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service (website URLs, audit configurations). We claim no ownership over your website content or audit results.

7.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.

8. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI to generate SEO suggestions and fix recommendations. You acknowledge that:

  • AI suggestions are advisory and may not always be accurate or suitable
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving any changes before applying them
  • We are not liable for negative consequences of applying AI-generated fixes
  • AI-generated content should be reviewed by a qualified professional for critical pages

9. Child Plugin (Auto-Fix)

The CrawlZen child plugin enables automatic SEO fixes on your WordPress site. By installing the child plugin, you:

  • Grant CrawlZen permission to modify your site's content (meta tags, headings, etc.)
  • Accept responsibility for all changes applied through the plugin
  • Acknowledge that changes should be reviewed before being made permanent
  • Understand that we are not liable for unintended side effects of automated changes

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrawlZen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Audit results will be 100% accurate or complete
  • SEO improvements will guarantee higher search rankings
  • AI suggestions will be suitable for your specific use case

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrawlZen, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
